Teacher Terms & Conditions

By registering, applying, or providing tutoring services through Hamro Tutor ("the Platform"), you ("the Teacher" or "you") agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please review these terms carefully before proceeding.

1Accuracy of Information

Teachers must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and throughout their engagement with the Platform. This includes, but is not limited to, educational qualifications, teaching experience, contact details, and identification documents. Submission of false, misleading, or fraudulent information may result in immediate suspension or termination from the Platform without prior notice.

2Professional Conduct

Teachers are expected to maintain professional standards at all times when interacting with students, parents, guardians, and the Hamro Tutor team. This includes punctuality, respectful communication, appropriate behavior, and adherence to agreed schedules. Any form of misconduct, harassment, discrimination, or unprofessional behavior will be subject to disciplinary action, including possible suspension or permanent removal from the Platform.

3Confidentiality and Data Protection

All information pertaining to students, parents, and the Platform's operations must be treated as strictly confidential. Teachers shall not disclose, share, or misuse any personal, academic, or contact information obtained through the Platform for purposes outside of providing tutoring services. Violation of confidentiality obligations may result in legal action and immediate termination.

4Commission and Service Fees

Where applicable, teachers agree to pay any commission or service fees as stipulated by Hamro Tutor. Payment must be made within the agreed timeframe and through approved payment methods. Teachers are strictly prohibited from circumventing the Platform by making private arrangements with students or parents introduced through Hamro Tutor. Any attempt to bypass commission obligations will result in immediate termination and potential legal action to recover owed fees.

5Independent Contractor Status

Teachers registered with Hamro Tutor are independent contractors and not employees, agents, or representatives of the Platform. As such, teachers are solely responsible for their teaching methodologies, lesson planning, scheduling, tax obligations, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Hamro Tutor does not provide employee benefits, insurance, or tax withholding.

6Cancellations and Refunds

Policies regarding class cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds (where applicable) will be communicated to teachers during the matching or onboarding process. Teachers are expected to adhere to these policies and communicate any changes to their availability in a timely manner. Repeated cancellations or failure to honor commitments may result in suspension or removal from the Platform.

7Platform Rights and Enforcement

Hamro Tutor reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently remove any teacher from the Platform who violates these terms and conditions, engages in fraudulent activity, receives repeated complaints, or demonstrates unprofessional conduct. The Platform may exercise this right without prior notice and at its sole discretion. Decisions regarding enforcement are final.

Privacy Policy

Information Collection

We collect personal information including, but not limited to, your name, email address, phone number, educational qualifications, teaching experience, subject expertise, identification documents, and profile photographs. This information is collected during registration and may be updated throughout your engagement with the Platform.

Use of Information

Your information is used to: (i) verify your identity and qualifications; (ii) match you with suitable students; (iii) facilitate communication between teachers, students, and parents; (iv) process payments and commissions; (v) improve our services; and (vi) comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Data Security and Sharing

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Information may be shared with students and parents as necessary for tutoring arrangements, or with service providers who assist in Platform operations under strict confidentiality obligations.

Data Retention and Your Rights

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations. You have the right to access, correct, update, or request deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable laws and our operational requirements.
